The Global Genes Project is campaigning to collect blue jean/denim inspired bracelets to support families living with rare diseases, disorders, or conditions. To help raise awareness, 7,000 volunteers, including jewelry designers, and artists, make a bracelet within the denim color scheme to show support for children living with these conditions. Go to the Global Genes Project to learn more!
I used Swarovski crystals in Crystal Cal, Crystal, Crystal Metallic Blue 2x, and Sapphire. The white and blue beads are polymer clay, and the lentil and round beads are Kazuri beads. The Kazuri beads are some of my favorites because of where and by whom they are made. They are gorgeous, too.
This Blog Hop caught my eye because of what the GGP Campaign represents. We have dear friends in Colorado whose son had Retinoblastoma, which is a rare cancer of the retina/eye. So, this bracelet is made in honor of Zee and his family.
What a great opportunity to show support of children with 7,000 identified rare diseases! I hope my bracelet brings a smile to a parent, friend, or relative of those affected.
Peace, Love, and Sunshine,
Kel

I'm sorry you had a personal story to tell, but thank you for sharing it. It adds all the more meaning to what we are doing.
Your bracelet manages to be both casual and dressy! Nicely done!
Very pretty. Love the combination of Kazuri beads that you used.
It is so kind of you, doing this in honor of a friend.
I love the soft ease of this bracelet. The beads look like perfect worry stones, which I prefer to think of as "comfort stones". Thank you so much for your beautiful contribution and for joining the Hop!
Thanks for sharing your bracelet and your story. I think it will definitely bring a smile to the recipient!
Stunning! I love that clasp! Some woman is going to be very lucky to receive this!
Yes your bracelet will surely bring a smile...great design!
Nice colour combination - the recipient will have lots of fun wearing it!
These bold Kazuri beads make a lovely show of hope and inspiration. I like this a lot1
Love those Kazuri beads. You made a beautiful bracelet and it is truly destined to bring Hope to some lucky mother or caregiver.
Thank you for sharing your personal story.
I LOVE Kazuri beads and you did a great job!
Beautiful bracelet! Sorry to hear of your friend's child...it is so unfair! Take care!
Those Kazuri beads are so cool- I haven't used them, but I have oohed over them at a bead show! I really love your design, and I know that whoever receives this beautiful bracelet will feel blessed. Thank you for sharing your story about Zee. It really makes this cause more personal for all of us when we learn about these kids. Thank you so much for joining us on this hop!
Kel,
Your bracelet is beautiful and I am sure that the woman receiving this beautiful bracelet will be thrilled.

I love your bracelet, and I"m sure the recipient will, too. The bead choices are beautiful.
-A wonderful gift ;) I'm sure the recipient will be thrilled.
Your bracelet is really something special. The colors you used are really nail-on-the-head in terms of the denim blue scheme. I like that the larger beads are all kinda flat as I'm sure these will look really great on the wrist. It's a fabulous design that I know will be worn often and appreciated much.
Ooh I love the flat beads... they make me think of worry stones and I want to play with them :) Great job!
Kel, This sweet and beautiful bracelet with the perfect little flower accent charm is such a wonderful way to honor Zee and his family!
P.S. I love the Kazuri beads, I used them in last years hop! The colors are perfect!
Gorgeous!
You chose some beautiful beads to make your bracelet special for the recipient. And the fact that you know a family for whom we are all working so hard for, makes it even more meaningful. Thank you for sharing.
Very cute bracelet. Well done.
What a wonderful way to honor your friends child. Your bracelet is very beautiful and will bring much joy to the one who wears it.
I love Kazuri beads - you did a great job. The clasp is really pretty!
Really pretty bracelet. I love the addition of the white beads, it really adds to the overall look/feel of the bracelet.
My eyes were truly opened to what families who are affected by rare disease go through on a daily basis by receiving the emails from the Global Gene Project and by participating in this hop. I think the way you are honoring your friend is beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
What a lovely bracelet! Someone will be very happy to wear this :)
A beautiful bracelet made with love ... the best kind!
